Hi. If you send it a stronger signal than 1.5V it will result in a increase in THD. It can maybe also damage the chips. But keep in mind, you will have some kind of volume control, either digital or analogue which would decrease your output from the preamp. When you feed the amp 1.5V it will be very loud (full volume). Normal preamps are 1.5V - 2V outputs and are good for these amps. Mp3 players have 0.7V to 1V output and are not sufficient to achieve max output from our amps.

Will I be able to feed the inputs of your amps with higher level signals of a high end peamp or reciever with pre-outs? There are some T-amp kits that caution you to use very low level signals of mp3 players or PC outputs, because the amp can be damaged using a higher level signal, such as a preamp. Also can I use your DAC into a preamp then into one of your amps? I am also looking at using a mini DSP crossover with your amps. Will this work OK.
