Hi, yes you can do this. As long as you have good enough soldering skills to not damaged anything, it will work. :)

I have a Hifimediy Sabre DAC which is capable of outputting sound through 3.5mm analog jack as well as 3.5 mm optical output.
I have the optical output in use now.
I'm wondering if it's possible to solder another 3.5mm plug to the DAC, so that I can plug in both the optical as the analog jack? optical goes to my reciever, analog goes to my guitar amplifier. Do I wreck something to the DAC If I do this??
This way I don't have to switch my squeezebox from using a different soundcard..
